Reiko (left) and Maggie (right) grew up on Crenshaw Boulevard from 1965 thru the 1980's. They were a part of the Japanese
American community and
were raised admist a diverse
delicious food culture.
Four decades ago, Los Angeles native Maggie Antoine, a third- generation Japanese-American
(Sansei) began her culinary venture.

Fueled by her passion and Japanese-American (JA) heritage, she crafted a signature JA chicken tender recipe. Initially serving Japanese bento boxes to tour buses, she soon expanded her clientele to the Los Angeles film industry and corporate offices across the city.
In the late 1990s, Maggie and her sister Reiko Clark took their culinary vision to Atlanta, where they opened their first store. Their dedication led to multiple awards and a successful franchise. After a prosperous collaboration they made the strategic decision, and sold their interests and returned to Los Angeles. They have since embarked on reinventing their family-run concept, led by their son and nephew,
Noah Clark.
